Dulux Avista Waterbased Penetrating Sealer is a clear, breathable sealer designed to penetrate deep into porous surfaces rather than forming a film on top.

It provides water repellency and stain resistance while helping preserve the natural colour, texture and finish of your concrete or stone, with no gloss and minimal odour.

How long does the protection last?

Under typical Australian residential conditions, protection can last approximately 5 to 10 years.

Because the Dulux Avista Waterbased Penetrating Sealer penetrates the substrate, it generally only wears away as the surface itself erodes.

A simple water bead test can help determine when resealing is required. If water no longer beads on the surface, it may be time to apply another coat.

How to maintain a Dulux Avista sealed surface for long term results?
- Surface should be cleaned regularly, removing mud, dirt & gravel by sweeping and/or light pressure cleaning
- Remove oil, grease and other chemicals contaminants immediately
- Remove excess leaf & organic matter to avoid staining
- Dulux Avista Waterbased Penetrating Sealer does not require routine re-sealing
Can I use it on a driveway that has been sealed before?

Yes, but any existing film forming sealer must be completely removed before applying the Penetrating Sealer. The concrete needs open pores so the product can penetrate.

If the previous sealer was also a penetrating sealer, a clean and dry surface is generally sufficient.

Will it make the concrete slippery when wet?

The penetrating, non-film-forming formulation does not create a glossy surface film, helping retain the concrete’s existing surface texture and slip characteristics.

This makes it suitable for areas such as driveways, footpaths and pool surrounds, subject to the characteristics and condition of the underlying surface.
